Nearpod begins with the development of a PowerPoint (PP) presentation that will be the content presentation slides for your lesson. You have created that in a previous assignment. Please be sure to make any revisions in your PP as directed by your instructor. DO NOT PUT YOUR PP IN THE SLIDESHOW. You drag and drop or upload your PP into Nearpod. Nearpod Assignment Requirements. Your Nearpod must include the following PowerPoint Presentation Dragged/Dropped: Import your Powerpoint Presentation that you created previously. If your instructor requested revisions, you should make them before you upload them. Nearpod Features Required: Include the following Nearpod features throughout your lesson. Do Not Put All of These Nearpod Features Together At The End Of Your PP Presentation. Nearpod Content Slides Minimum Of 1 relevant Youtube Video EMBEDDED (not just a link to the page) with a descriptor slide before it (e.g., Telling them what is in the video or what to look for, etc.) Minimum one 1 relevant URL Link with a descriptor slide before it (e.g., Telling them what is on the webpage or what to do as they review it, etc.) Nearpod Slide Show Build-in Nearpod slideshow with at least 4 slides. Also, you must include a slide that you can make in Nearpod prior to the slideshow that tells students about what to do with the slideshow. (Note: This is a special Nearpod feature in which students can move slides independently. This is not to be confused with your main lesson slides) Nearpod Assessments Minimum of 2 poll questions using the poll question feature (not the open-ended question feature. Polls do not have a correct answer. They are to be opinion-type questions. If there is a correct answer, then it is not a poll. For example, “What is your favorite pizza topping,” is a poll. They would have topping choices from which to choose. “On what planet do we live?” is NOT a poll question. There is a correct answer. Minimum of 1 quiz with 12 or more questions (There could be 2 quizzes with 6 or more questions each). Minimum of 1 open-ended question Minimum of 1 use of the draw-it feature (It could include an image on the page to which students interact) Minimum of 1 use of one of the following; Nearpod 3D, Flipgrid, Field Trip, Flocabulary, Time to Climb, Fill in the Blanks, Matching Pairs, Collaborate, Sharing your Nearpod for Grading You will post the following in Canvas: A brief statement describing your Nearpod lesson. Explain what you are teaching and to whom. Then briefly discuss the types of activities you included in your lesson. Finally, you need to give me access to your lesson. To do this, you Sign in to Nearpod Go to your Library Make sure your Nearpod lesson is saved or you cannot share it Put your cursor over the Nearpod lesson, three dots will appear in the top right-hand corner Select share with teachers (Make sure that share an editable copy is selected on this screen).
