Construct an 8–10-page proposal argument essay. There must be a specific action that the reader can and should take after reading your essay. You must use at least seven (7) outside sources to support your argument (or offer counter argument). All sources must be cited in-text and in a Works Cited page using proper MLA format.
Forbidden Topics
The following topics have been used too much and are not acceptable for any of the course papers (regardless of which side of the argument you are arguing):
1. Gun Control (conceal and carry, second amendment, etc.)
2. Abortion
3. Drinking Age
4. Same-Sex Marriage
5. Legalization of Marijuana
6. Someone is awful or stupid (current president, former president, mayor, etc.)
7. Whether or not students should be required to take General Education courses
8. The death penalty (or capital punishment)
9. Drug testing welfare or unemployment recipients
10. Immigration (including “The Wall” or travel bans)
