In each module, specific Learning Objectives were provided in the Module Overviews. Using these as guideposts, please summarize the major themes covered in the Discussions. Begin with a short one-paragraph introduction, then write a single paragraph for each of the paired modules that explains the major issues covered in the Discussions (i.e. one paragraph for D-1 & D-2, one paragraph for D-3 & D-4, and one paragraph for D-5 & D-6). High scores will require students to specifically reference their peers’ work and the assigned readings (e.g., “In D-2, John S. argued that …”; According to Law, …”; etc.). Additionally, you must meaningfully comment on at least one of the videos or other supplemental asynchronous content items provided each module. In the context of “Lessons Learned,” you will also need to include a final paragraph covering THREE (3) points which you feel added to your understanding of the relationship between modernity, political violence, and the power of the state. Choose those themes you felt to be noteworthy, enlightening, interesting, or controversial. Your submission should consist of five (5) paragraphs and be between 1,000 and 1,500 words.
