Students will integrate the health sciences literature related to the research topic into a
summary called the “statement of the problem.” In this section of the CONCEPT PAPER, students
should try to gain the reader’s attention, help the reader understand the problem that needs to be
solved, describe what efforts have been made to solve it in the past, and what a solution might
look like. Using the question or topic as a guide, the student would use the
literature to dig deeper and operationalize (define) the margins that will be looked at in the finalized CONCEPT PAPER Later in the semester. Using your approved topic for your final concept paper and perform a literature search. Develop a “statement of the problem” for your research topic This should be about one page in length and in APA format. Create a reference list containing five peer-reviewed references for the selected topic and format them using APA. Tips for this assignment This is a publish of the first part of your concept paper. It is the introduction and background information on your topic. The body of the paper should be no more than one page in length Do not use pronouns such as “I’, “me”, “they”, “we”, etc. Remember the concept paper is your plan for a research study, this first part introduces and explains your topic. Be sure that your references and in-text citations are in APA format This is the only paper where you may have references listed that are not included in the body of the paper List references which you think you may be using in the final (future) papers
